Robotics Ethics (WIP)

An overview, some points of focus, and my passion.

As a brief review from a previous article, I define a robot as a constructed device designed to accomplish a task using physical means, with the ability to sense and react to its current state, and usually able to act without direct human action. I define robotics ethics (“roboethics”) as ethical questions raised by robots themselves, with roboethics being a superset of technology ethics (such that all questions in technology ethics apply to robotics, but not vice versa) and strong overlap with AI ethics. Now let’s discuss the exciting world of robotics ethics!
